Genevieve Matthews BCom, Grad Dip, CA

Before starting at IMA, Genevieve worked in a number of senior finance roles, including head of finance. Even as a young child, she always wanted to be an accountant, and she followed that dream to become qualified as a Chartered Accountant after earning her BCom where she majored in accounting and commercial law.

Genevieve was looking for a change from the corporate finance world and came to IMA to get the work-life balance she was seeking. It’s a fresh challenge – previously she had often worked on supplying information for auditors, and sat on audit and financial risk boards, but she now gets to see the process from the other side. Having an understanding of both sides of the equation gives her an advantage as an auditor, helping her deliver the best possible service to our clients. Her role at IMA also allows her to spend more quality time with her husband and their two young daughters.
